I'm Don Berkich, professor of philosophy at a southern regional mid-size (R2) university.

Many academics have their own websites, some affiliated and some not, like this one.

My intention in building this site is to engage fellow scholars, students past, present, and perhaps future, and to contribute in some small way to the philosophical conversation one cannot help but enter. After all, to reject philosophy is to make a choice based on reasons, which is thereby to take part in the conversation. For how then will one decide whether the reasons are good or bad? The philosophical conversation is thus inescapably and uniquely necessary.

To be clear, this site is by design perpetually under development.
